XBOX Customer Support

by fkerrigan @ 14. Jul 2007 - 13:18:41

So you go onto XBOX.COM, click support read the web regarding a failed 360. Fill in a form and post it to support. This is the 3rd time MS XBOX team has done this to me, all they so is point you at the web page that requests you to fill in an online form. What is the point. This is just being lazy and closing off call so someones call stats look good. It does not serve the customer (me) one bit.

====================================================================

I have just got one red light in the bottom right quadrant I have only had it for twelve months paid £300 and Iwas told that I have to pay £60-£65 to fix.To be honest i am not that happy about it .On the internet i have seen that Microsoft have extended the warrnty from 1 year to 3 how true is that.

Nathan they have extended the warranty to 3 years, just phone them up and they will come and collect it. The process is as follows

Check all cables etc are secure as a loose power supply can cause red ring of death.

1) Call them, they take the serial number and email you a postage label for the carrier.

2) Find a box to hold the 360 and remove all add-ons harddrive etc..

3) Put it in the box with nothing else, they know who's it is by the serial number so you don't need to add any paperwork.

4) Arrange with the carrier to pick it up, this might have been done in stage one.

5) Wait 3 weeks or whatever for it to return.

@Cody
tou should have a serial number on the back. Call MS support they might take it anyway. Do you have your orginally receipt of purchase this may help.

@Adam
If they are under 3 years old then send them all back to MS. PS3 has not be out long enough to show any issues, 360 does have issues and MS expanded the warrenty period to 3 years would others do this?
